Kolejny projekt Erasmus+Sport ze Startem w roli lidera – spotkanie edukacyjno techniczne w Vukovarze

Educational and technical meeting in Croatia ( Vukovar, Osijek 26-30.04.2023) within the framework of the international Erasmus+ Sport project „Dis+Abled SPORT – sports and games designed to be played by people with physical & visual disabilities alongside with able-bodied; an innovative approach to increase Social Inclusion and Equal Opportunities in Sport”.
During the meeting in Croatia, project partners participated in, among others:
1. Practical activities with students of the University of Physical Education in Osijek – a group of dozens of students and volunteers had the opportunity to play the fastest growing Paralympic sport – Boccia , Ringo etc. The students were very engaged and enthusiastically accepted a gift from the host of the meeting – a professional boccia set.
2. Presentation on the objectives of the project, with particular emphasis on the creation of a manual with dozens of games and Paralympic sports, traditional and recreational, adapted for joint practice by people with and without disabilities (the main objective of the Project). Exchange of good practices, discussion of the progress to date on the tasks of the project.
3. History lesson on the tragic fate of the victims of the 1991 Yugoslav War, visits to the places of martyrdom in and around Vukovar.

General project assumption: to use a unique and innovative combination of sports for social inclusion and integration of people with physical and visual disabilities (PwD) with able-bodied people (AbP), by and through sports: – Paralympic sports, – traditional sports, – and others (Olympic, recreational sports etc). Specific Project objectives : to create a practical manual with 40-60 selected Paralympic, TSG and other sports from each Project Partners’ countries, adapted to the needs of social inclusion of PwD and integration between them and AbP, to transfer knowledge through: – educational workshops, – promo-educational events.
